80's & the atrocities

The decade of 80 was probably the worst ever for countless acts and incidents that happened which changed the course of history. Being a SIKH, I feel the remorse and till date, cannot forget the fires I have seen standing on the roof our house or hearing people blabbering anti SIKH slogans..

Whats hurts me the most is now after almost 25 years, I see & read even more details of the shameless incidents that happened during that time in the land of PANJAB which I still believe is going to be the place where I would retire, one day.

How can I get this Gobind Ram out of my mind when this Meer Maano of 19th century has killed and tortured so many of my brothers and sikhs..

Not my words or thoughts neither could any one else's could bring peace to those who were victims to this butcher of mankind..

Being There..

"Being There" is a beautiful movie which makes Chance, a gardener by profession to be mistaken as Chauncey Gardnier, someone who knows Politics & Economics.

But the movie is just not about humor around the subject but it has more depth to it which is evident in the last 30 secs of the movie...

Thanks Mr. Way for sharing this beautiful collection of movies.

I recommend you to go to Netflix or Blockbuster to see this movie.

To tell you the truth, this is what I like most about the Free World.. I get to enjoy some really good hollywood stuff which otherwise odds are that I would have missed them in the past..like this one that I watched yesterday - For Love or Money..

"I Could Love a Man (Who Uses His Head)..". I have just fallen for Gabrielle for this one sentence which has such depth in it..

Whats up with the economy?

Well comments on economy seems like a joke from someone who doesn't understand much of it but the fact is not the commenting or debating of the so called global recession or slowdown but feeling it in our day to day lives...

Mortage rates are down but the real estate appreciation has fallen badly..does it make sense to refinance? No, absolutely not..just ignore the gimmicks thrown by media..

Job switching...hell NO!

Spendthrift habits - Change them now or never..

Stocks - Diversifying the portfolio - Will that matter when everything is hell bend! No

Savings - YES, YES, YES..

Real Estate investments - has ruined me....
